Lifestyle Portraits in Berlin – East Side Gallery

Travel photos that aren't just selfies!

These lifestyle portraits in Berlin have culture, art, travel and street photography. They also have indoor toddler portraits, romantic couple photos and fun family photos. A lifestyle portrait session can include whatever you want, there are no rules, only lots of fun and real moments!

Alex and her husband Wade have lived in Australia for many years now. Alex grew up in Germany and misses her family who still lives there. Wade has been waiting for the right job opportunity in Germany with his company so they can move there. And now is the time! Wade has been offered a great job in Berlin and they leave very soon! I wanted to celebrate by sharing these photos that were taken a little while ago when they visited Berlin on one of their regular trips to Europe.

The session started off in her friend’s apartment in Neukölln which had lovely light to showcase Everleigh’s stunning blue eyes and cheeky toothy grin! We then walked through some of the popular tourist streets including Unter den Linden having fun in the toy stores and shopping for Birkenstocks.

It was then time to go to Warschauer Straße train station to meet Alex’s brother Klaus. Some fun piggyback photos followed after the brother and sister reunion and we met up with Wade who was able to duck away from a conference.

And then it was fun with one euro beers (or at least some of them were only one euro!) and spending time appreciating the colour and messages of the East Side Gallery (aka The Berlin Wall). This street art was incredible and very powerful. Some glorious light hit the trees across the road so we snuck across for some smoochy photos with the lovebirds.

This session was about spending quality time with the people closest to Alex and also just letting the experiences flow. Rather than selfies while travelling, we were able to capture real moments that Alex and her family will remember forever. I would highly recommend lifestyle portraits when you travel to have amazing photos of a place you have travelled but also real moments that will connect you with the place you have been to.

Please enjoy these lifestyle portraits in Berlin with a very loving and fun family!
