In a nutshell, I would describe Hannah and Cam’s celebrations as a quirky farm wedding. Deciding on a wedding theme was easy for Hannah, “during the time that we were dating we would visit as many country shows that we possibly could. We both love the 1950s. Put the two together and we had our theme… a 1950’s country fair!”
The day started with a closed ceremony at Carlingford where I captured the happy couple when they stepped out of the building. Then we took a road trip to Milton on the NSW South Coast. Hannah knew the spots that were special to them. Our first stop was Albion Park for the amazing graffiti wall. Then we headed to Berry for the famous Donut Van, vine-covered shop and hubcap pub. She also wanted some grungy shots at the Plumber building before we headed to the lookout where Cam proposed. The bridal party joined us at Mick Ryan Park for absolutely epic photos with the massive heritage-listed fig tree.
South Coast Wedding Planner, Clare Foreman helped the family coordinate this incredible celebration for 250 people. This quirky farm wedding had a kissing booth, old fashioned BBQ, pony rides, pinwheels and a lolly bar. There was also a prop-filled photobooth which was popular all night. At the end of the night, there was ‘Wonky Donkey’ act performed by the family and friends. Needless to say, it had us all in fits of laughter.
There was no wedding cake but two tables filled with homemade dessert pies provided by some of the guests. It was set up like a pie/cake competition at a country fair! “We wanted a wedding that was going to be memorable, casual, relaxed, fun, unique, kid-friendly and personal. We wanted our day to ACTUALLY be OUR DAY!!!”
Hannah booked me only 5 weeks before her quirky farm wedding. I do find a lot of my clients are booking closer to their wedding day so don’t hesitate to ask my availability!
