Felicia and Drew’s Relaxed Wedding at Home in Sydney

Having a Wedding at Home or a Backyard Wedding is becoming more and more popular and Felicia and Drew show us all how it is done! They worked hard to renovate their gorgeous Balgowlah home in time for the Wedding. They had 40 guests enjoy time in their little garden and on their spectacular deck area. And can you believe they have a one-year-old as well?! As well as bringing up two older boys! They certainly had a lot on their plate in the past year.

Their home is where they feel most comfortable so they wanted to bring their guests into that relaxed space so they could celebrate the happiest day of their lives. And it was exactly that! The ceremony was held in their garden and the reception was a stand-up cocktail affair with amazing canapes and lots of laughs during the speeches. They then let loose on the dance floor!

This is what Drew had to say, “Thanks for helping us really enjoy the day and embracing the relaxed vibe. The photos were a really fun part of our day.”

Some Great things to note from this wonderful Wedding at Home:

* The kids were having a blast – there were hay bales to jump on, bubble blowing (and tasting) and not to mention the intense scoffing of hot chips!

* The celebrant was also part of the duo group of musicians who entertained us throughout the cocktail hour

* Felicia ordered a private car with driver (instead of just taking a taxi) to pick them up just two hours before they had to leave. It was a relaxed vibe!

* Felicia’s beautiful purple velvet wedding cloak was made by her mother

* The cake was made by her bridesmaid who had to make the cake in her accommodation with limited supplies as she had flown from the UK for the wedding.

* The car that Felicia and Drew posed in front of is actually Drew’s Countryman Mini.

* The portraits were done off-site near Tania Park and at the Arabanoo Lookout. We probably spent 20 minutes having some fun there!

* The celebrant is also one half of the amazing music duo The April Maze who entertained the guests.
