Bush Bank is great if you are considering a Kiama wedding venue. You feel like the whole hillside and surrounding areas are all to yourself! You may however have to accept some wedding crashers from the paddocks who like to Moo a lot. All Mel and Nat wanted for their wedding was to enjoy time with their friends and family. And that is exactly what they were able to do!
They wanted to shy away from tradition so the focus would be on having a good time! The two brides got ready together in the gorgeous Bush Bank cottage onsite. In breaking tradition they also decided not to have a wedding cake and bridal bouquets. In the end two people in love got married and everyone celebrated and to them that is all that mattered!
But not everything was perfect. We were in drought in December 2019 and the bush fires were raging on the South Coast of NSW. Even Kiama, which is known for it’s glorious green hills, was sadly starting to look yellow and dry. The week of the wedding we didn’t know if it would be possible for the wedding to go ahead due to poor air quality. However the smoke cleared and there was a hint of blue in the sky for their relaxed Kiama wedding – Yay!
