Lia and Daemon’s Medieval Monastery Portraits are different from what I usually photograph and I think it was a wonderful change to see couple’s portraits from a different angle.
A lot of photographers like to call themselves Storytellers these days – capturing the real moments. And that is exactly what I love to do also. But this portrait session was a little different as Lia and Daemon love to do their own storytelling so during their shoot it was about acting out the characters they developed for themselves. A soldier going off to war as his lady waits for him. And then the time they spend close to each other on his return. This was a lot of fun since I did some drama classes when I was younger. I also captured a few little moments in between where the true Lia and Daemon may have surfaced. I will let you decide.
The photoshoot was done at the Pirita Convent/Monastery in Tallinn, Estonia. Lia made her own head jewellery and does sell some lovely pieces.
