The Stables Wedding – Steph and Carl’s Bendooley Estate Winter Celebration

Don't miss the funny moments during the ceremony!

The Stables Wedding at Bendooley Estate – a stunning location in the Southern Highlands with the best fireplace! If you love big rustic barn doors, the countryside and rolling hills then you will love The Stables. Carl and Steph booked this venue when it was still being built. It was the perfect spot to celebrate their nuptials between Sydney and Canberra.

There are two things that come to mind when I think of Steph and Carl – Emotion and Humour. Their commitment to each other is strong. You can see how Carl just gazes at Steph like he is in a trance. And the tear trickling down Steph’s cheek while she said her vows to Carl during their ceremony was touching.

On the other hand, they have such a great sense of humour that bonds them as well. Their first dance involved a dramatic ‘hand over face’ move that had all the guests in tears of laughter. And in the lead up to the wedding, they were posting very unflattering and hilarious photos of each other with loving messages. Think of drooling while sleeping, drunk face, licking an icecream (not in a sexy way) etc The description read “I will marry this beautiful person in X days.” And the moment during the ceremony that no guest will forget, Carl obtaining a bright shade of red lipstick after the first kiss! The wild laughter from all could not be contained.

Unfortunately, after the ceremony, Carl earned himself a place in the ‘dog house.’ It wasn’t with the bride though, it was with his youngest admirer, a toddler. She was so quiet during the congrats and wouldn’t even smile when Carl greeted and tickled her. Her dad said it was because her heart was broken as Carl was now married. Awwwwww…

Carl and Steph had their first dance at the start of the reception and two speeches made. There was no cake so all the formalities were covered!
