You may be surprised to know that not all Indian Weddings are big celebrations. In fact, Chandan and Christine had a small Hindu Wedding ceremony on a Friday with 20 guests.
There are many traditions and rituals involved in a Hindu Wedding ceremony which includes fire, smoke, rice, offerings and hand holding. And without a doubt the kids enjoyed the sweet offerings the most!
Christine looked truly stunning with her sparkling jewellery, red sari and Henna decorated hands. However she was not the only one who stood out from the crowd. The kids grabbed lots of attention with their very ornate outfits and Chandan caught everyone’s eye with his well groomed beard!
After the ceremony Christine and Chandan celebrated with their family and friends at Aki’s Indian Restaurant. But just before this we captured some fun family portraits along the gorgeous Wolloomooloo Wharf. As you will see from the photos the kids were very excited to try and be in every shot!
Due to the guest list and relaxed dining less coverage was required for this small Hindu Wedding day. Therefore Christine and Chandan felt four hours was enough which included car arrival, ceremony, portraits and candid moments at the restaurant.
