Marriage is tough. It is not all romantic dinners and walks along the beach. I should know, we are celebrating 17 years of marriage this June. And Cherie and Jock know too. For the past few years, they have worked through some really tough times to come out the other side for the better. They did not give up. So they decided it was a good idea to have a Mount Tomah Botanic Gardens Wedding celebration with a renewal of vows!
You don’t need much to plan an amazing Mount Tomah Botanic Gardens Wedding. The gardens make an amazing backdrop for your ceremony and photos. The Potager has a huge balcony overlooking the gardens and mountains and they look after all your dining requirements. We enjoyed mild weather as the sun went down and watched the hues in the sky above the mountains turn from blue to purple to pink.
Although the Gardens and The Potager provide a great backdrop, it was Cherie’s great eye for styling which really made the wedding shine. Along with her friends, she created her bouquet, the boutonnieres and the florals for the reception tables. The centrepiece candles were a special DIY project for Cherie and Jock. But I think what really stood out was Cherie’s dress and hair! Everyone could not stop mentioning how beautiful she looked. A classic beauty!
The vows were thoughtful but there were also some giggles. The ceremony, conducted by their long term friend Jim Primossich really reflected the commitment they both have for each other. There was a special prayer at the end which encouraged all guests to provide continued support to this loving couple. All in all, it was a perfect day with their loved ones by their side including their very favourite person, their son Adisu.
