The ladies wanted a party for their Manly wedding and that is certainly what they achieved! With the help of the amazing Amy from Cloud9 Events the Manly Yacht Club was transformed into a relaxed cocktail and dining experience as the sun set over the water. Before this Amy created a beautiful ceremony space for these two to share their vows in front of their very enthusiastic and emotional friends and family. Many happy tears were shed!
Fiona certainly added to the party atmosphere with her rock star sunglasses and dancing down the aisle with her Mum. She also sang several songs for her bride, Deb throughout the night. And I am pretty sure anytime she was moving during the day she had her groove on! After 12 years together, there was no denying a party was the best way to celebrate for these two.
Although the brides were having the time of their lives their focus was always going to be on their guests’ enjoyment. They made sure there was plenty of time for mingling, eating, drinking and dancing! I spent about 15 minutes with the ladies before the ceremony for a few quick portraits together and then 5 minutes at sunset. You don’t need much time to capture gorgeous photos if you are already relaxed and enjoying yourself!
I should also make special mention of the following: the amazing cake baked by Deb’s niece, Rebecca. The incredible civil ceremony performed by their friend Pauline and the soulful Hawaiian blessing by Rachelle. Fiona’s friends came together as a band to provide some incredible music before the DJ took over later in the night.
