With less than 30 guests, this Loxley on Bellbird Hill wedding ceremony was intimate and relaxed. But it was also, as Anna Maria described it, “laden with emotions.” None of their parents or siblings were present so Eric’s kids (Alizee, 19 and Gabriel, 16) were there as their support. However, Anna Maria’s parents were watching live from Lebanon. She chatted excitedly to her mum after signing the marriage certificate.
Not only was the ceremony emotional, but also when I photographed Anna Maria and Eric’s portraits. They were truly on cloud nine and in their own special ‘just married’ world.
Eric describes his new wife; “she is kind and tender, and we suit each other perfectly as I love tenderness too.” Awwww… you can see a lot of this reflected in the photos below. Thank you, Anna Maria and Eric, for being so true to who you are as a couple and showing your devotion!
Anna Maria and Eric met in Paris. Eric is from a small village in Southern France and Anna Maria is Lebanese but also speaks French. Their attraction was and is electric! They moved to Australia recently and the proposal happened in Sydney. I will let Anna Maria explain it to you.
“In November 2018, I made my first visit to Sydney. It was the occasion to meet Eric’s friends and get a feel of the city. On my last evening in town, Gabriel, Eric’s son, had an Opera performance. Eric booked for dinner afterwards. Toward the end of the dinner, Gabriel pretended to be bored and asked permission to listen to music in the car whilst we finish our drinks. Eric then presented me with a ring asking to marry him.”
