The two Hannahs, known as HQ and HV, had a very unique wedding at Archie Rose Distillery. It was exactly as they planned – casual, relaxed and a reflection of who they are. The ladies chose to get ready at the gorgeous Old Clare Hotel in Chippendale with their Mums. Their dads were the unofficial hosts and made very entertaining speeches, announcements and toasts!
“We have a shared love of Australian Gin, we love Archie Rose, the venue is just perfect. It’s classic with dark oak but also has a city/warehouse vibe. We also liked that it was just a distillery and bar and not a wedding venue. Our theme is focused mostly around our love of travel and good food and drink. We jet-setted to Europe together only 6 months after our first date. The caterer was chosen because we are going to Mexico for the honeymoon in a year. Therefore we wanted an authentic Mexican experience at the wedding to celebrate the next holiday we are taking.”
They certainly achieved the party feel with more than 100 guests at the Distillery. Lots of fun was had with good quality gin and photo booth antics.
Another tradition the two Hannahs chose to personalise was the Wishing Well. Instead HQ created unique ‘Honeymoon Experiences’ Polaroids. She researched about 100 experiences that they would love to have on their honeymoon in LA, Mexico and Guatemala. It took a lot of planning and research but HQ loved every part of it! Images were printed on a Polaroid and noted with the cost. The guests could then choose the experience they want to contribute to and write a note on the Polaroid.
