I have not seen a bride and groom laugh so much as Ash and Simon did at their Wolfies Wedding in The Rocks. From the giggles and cheeky posing during their ‘first look’ photos to the well thought out and entertaining ceremony and speeches. This wedding day was full of fun and lots of laughter! This also equated to a very relaxed wedding day. Everyone had a great time either enjoying the fireworks near the Opera House and doing the Macarena on the dance floor!
Ash had warned me that they did not seem to get good photos of both of them in the past so we would have to capture purely candid photos to try and get a good one! They certainly gave me that opportunity as when they saw each other for the first time they just couldn’t stop staring, hugging and smiling. It was like I was not even there and wonderful to see they were just in their own little world!
I chose this spot in The Rocks for their bridal party photos as it was less busy. The photos were being taken at 4 pm and the sun was very bright so we needed to find somewhere shady too. Cadman’s Cottage was the perfect choice with its sandstone and gorgeous whitewashed stone walls. No one interrupted their ‘first look’ photos despite a big event happening just across the road!
I want to offer a big congratulations to the bridal party for their incredible ability to have lots of fun in front of the camera! The girls were all wearing Converse Hi Tops for something different but also to represent Ash and Simon’s connection to Basketball. Also a big thanks to Simon’s friend who brought the fancy pants, Lamborghini, to have a few photos with. Simon loves to work on cars and it was a lovely thought to include this on their day!
Their Wolfies Wedding Ceremony was an intimate affair in an old sandstone building. The celebrant, Gary Reilly was very entertaining with his words and kept our attention throughout the day with his MC skills later in the night. I would highly recommend him if you are looking for a relaxed wedding ceremony that is entertaining and a true reflection of who you are as a couple. He is also very professional and is a great MC as well!
A Wolfies Wedding Reception is also a great choice as the food is always excellent and the staff very attentive. I have photographed a few weddings here and have always been impressed. The view is amazing over the Opera House in the day and night and the Saturday night fireworks is always a winner with the guests!
