Every couple that I photograph like to celebrate their wedding in their own unique way, showcasing who they are. When Victoria and Phillip described how they wanted to celebrate I was delighted and challenged. Most photographers I spoke to told me they would never want to photograph in those situations – a candlelit ceremony at night with no other lighting allowed (I did end up being allowed to use a little LED light at some point) and the bush lit up in bright colours. The lovely couple told me they only wanted to work with people who said yes to their vision. I am a people pleaser so I said yes and what an amazing weekend it was! The weather was amazing – no storm clouds in sight despite the predictions, everyone was in good spirits and enjoyed dressing up for the formalities on both nights. A golf tournament was held on the Saturday (no photos on here yet) and an amazing 1920s club atmosphere was held among the rocks with a disco ball. From London cabs to hand made beaded bouquets that took hundreds of hours to hand-painted shoes to epic countryside locations, this was certainly a wedding with its own unique qualities. Please enjoy the epicness of the I DO Festival held in Kangaroo Valley last weekend.
